Nauvoo
After seeing my cousin Adam in St. Louis on Saturday, we drove up the road a bit to Nauvoo, Illinois. Actually, we're staying in Keokuk, Iowa, just across the river. Monday we toured Nauvoo and visited the Nauvoo Temple. We brought our bikes and rode around town (although that hill from Historic Nauvoo to the Temple was a bit much ...) Clint and I had both been to Nauvoo before, but he thinks he was three or four at the time, and I visited the summer before fifth grade (I think that would make me ten or so.) Neither of us had been back since the temple was rebuilt. We started our day with a temple session; it was really neat to be in the temple for the Spirit and for the historical elements. We also saw the new church movie about Joseph Smith and chatted with a nice woman who runs a frozen custard shop in town. A good visit--and we didn't even get too sunburned!

You forgot to mention that seeing your cousin, Adam, was the by far the best part of the trip :)
